11th November 2016 - New Drilling Rig

ACS are delighted to add a new Dando Terrier MK2 dynamic percussion rig to our drilling fleet.

This new rig represents a significant upgrade from the MK1 rig and will enable more efficient drilling, sampling and installation of monitoring wells.

A coring head can be attached to the rig to enable holes to be cored through concrete or bituminous materials in advance of drilling.

The rig offers windowless lined and window sampling, where sample recovery is required, and dynamic probing where continuous in situ testing is needed.

Our Geo-Environmental Department will be pleased to discuss further the capabilities of this rig or any potential projects.

9th July 2016 - Harbour Mud Sampling

It’s a lot less bovver with a hover!  This was certainly the case for this new project

ACS were appointed to this multi-stakeholder project involved with regeneration of the salt marshes within Holes Bay, Poole.  It is proposed to use dredgings from within the Bay to replenish eroded areas of the salt marshes.

Baseline contamination testing was required prior to the commencement of the project, and with one of the interested parties being RNLI, we were fortunate enough to make use of their hovercraft for the sampling.
